Payment plans are an option for students who are short on funds up front. Payment plans must be negotiated and approved by our accounting office. A typical payment plan requires the bed payment to be paid up front along with a percentage of remainder. The balance owed to the school is then divided into three equal payments to be paid monthly before the semester ends. We require that all payment plans have the student’s balance back to zero before they leave. If the full cost of tuition for that semester has not been fully paid by the last day of that semester, an interest rate of 7% per month will accrue on the remaining outstanding balance. Also, on the occasion that a payment is missed or turned in late, a fee of $25 will be added to every late tuition payment. Tuition payments on our plan are due the last day of every month.
Scholarships and Federal Aid
Kauai Bible College does not currently have any type of scholarships or access to federal funds to assist students with their tuition. We allow students to arrange payment plans with our accounting department if a student feels they cannot pay their entire tuition up front. This is only an option for students who have made inquiry with the financial department and received a plan stating the structure of the payment plan. If a student desires to attend KBC, but does not have sufficient funds, we recommend that they inquire with their local church for support or with other family and friends who would be willing to help financially.
Discounts and Credits
Only one type of the following discounts or credits below may be used per student per semester. These discounts only apply to full-time on-campus students. This means that a pastor’s kid who was homeschooled and lives on Kauai will not receive discounts for all three qualifications. The most substantial discount that the student qualifies for will be utilized toward the students tuition. All discounts and credits must be applied for prior to the semester. For new students, all discounts must be accounted for in the online application components under the “uploads and final information” component. For returning students, all requests for discounts must be submitted on or before the close out date for application submission. To request a discount as a returning student, contact us by email or phone.
Homeschool Student Discount
Kauai Bible College offers a financial discount to all students who were homeschooled. For every full school year that a student was homeschooled we give a $25 discount. The maximum discount that can be given to homeschool students is $250. In order to qualify for this discount the students parent needs to submit a year by year transcript of their curriculum and grades. These can be mailed or e-mailed to our office.
Missionary Kids Discount
Kauai Bible College offers a $250 discount to all missionary kids. In order to qualify for this discount the student’s parents need to have served on an international mission field or served in a supporting role for international missions for over one year. Their missions service must be no longer than five years previous to the students attendance at the Bible College in order to qualify. A letter from a missions organization or church will be a sufficient validation for these qualifications.
Pastor’s Kids Discount
Kauai Bible College offers a $200 discount to all Senior Pastor’s Kids. In order to qualify for this discount the student’s parent needs to be currently serving as a senior pastor of a church. A letter from the church stating this fact will be sufficient to qualify for this discount.
Kauai Bible College offers a $200 discount to all residents of the Hawaiian islands. This is a discount for full-time students only. In order to apply for this discount please send or bring by a copy of your Hawaii State driver’s license to our office.
Referred a Friend Discount or “Head Hunter” Discount
We offer a $350 discount to students who are currently attending or are planning on attending KBC for every new student that attends based off of their referral. Multiple current students cannot claim the same new student for a discount. KBC bases this discount on the new student’s answer to the question “Who referred you to Kauai Bible College” on their application. If you forget to note the referral on your application, you may contact the registrar at email@example.com. The registrar must be notified about the reference prior to the fly-in dates for the discount to apply. It is possible for a current student to receive stacked discounts if they are referring more than one new student. This discount has no stacking limit, and thus it is entirely possible to have your entire tuition paid for by this discount if you refer enough people.
Note: this discount is not recurring. Each referral counts towards one discount for one semester.
If you have any questions about discounts, feel free to contact us.
