Pastor Bob Hallman
Senior Pastor of Calvary Chapel Kauai, Discipleship 101, Discipleship 102
Pastor Bob has been on the Island for over ten years pastoring Calvary Chapel Kauai. He is married to Becky and has two boys John and Michael. God has given Bob a vision to raise up ministry leaders and missionaries through the Bible College. He teaches core classes every semester and is heavily involved in discipleship.
Curtis Zeigler
Interim Director, Acts, Community Service
Curtis Zeigler found his way out to KBC about one year ago and graduated from KBC in 2009.
Curtis is also in charge of the everyday affairs of the men on campus.
Originally from Southern California, Curtis has a call on his life to be a pastor someday!
Christina Johnson
Registrar of Kauai Bible College
Christina Johnson graduated from CCBC Murrieta and is in charge of the office and student academic affairs at Kauai Bible College. She also assists in the daily and ongoing specific tasks of the school.
Alex Marrow
Dean of Students, Worship, First and Second Kings
Alex Marrow graduated from CCBC Murrieta and flew out to Kauai to help build the KBC campus. He has been here ever since and is now “part of the woodwork”.
Alex teaches and facilitates a student led worship team for the Wednesday night service at Calvary Chapel Kauai.
Pastor Steve Thompson
Ministry and Life of Christ
Stephen Thompson is kahu (pastor) of North Shore Christian Church in Kilauea, Hawaii. He has been there since the church started in the Summer of 2001. Previous to that he pastored churched in Hanalei, HI; Cedar Hill, Texas; Lyndonville, NY; and Las Vegas, NM. He received his BA degree in Religious Studies from Wheaton College (1975), the Th.M degree in Systematic Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary (1980). H was ordained to the Christian Ministry at Faith Bible Church, DeSoto, Texas in 1980. He has three grown children and lives with his wife, Tricia in Princeville, Hawaii.
Pastor Merv Walker
Church History Course
Merv Walker was born in New Zealand to missionaries in Indonesia. He spent much of his childhood there, as well as a couple of years here in Hawai’i. His parents, Dal & Dorothy Walker later established a Bible School in Tawamangu, Sekolah Alkitab which has trained over 3,000 students. Merv attended Southern Methodist University of Southwestern Assemblies of God in Waxahachie, TX. He then graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a degree in history. While serving as assistant pastor to Gospel Lighthouse Church in Dallas, TX for nearly 4 years, he was challenged to pioneer a new work in Garland, TX. There, together with his wife and family he pastored New Life Fellowship for 21 years. In 1991, Merv and Darlene received the call to come and serve at Kaua’i Bible Church where they continue today.

Pastor Josh Turansky
Founder of Kauai Bible College
Josh Turansky is a graduate of Calvary Chapel Bible College and has served at the main campus in Murrieta California. He is married to Melinda, and has two boys: Hudson and Hayden. Josh has a passion for young peoples lives and is blessed to be apart of the Bible College program. Josh currently resides at Calvary Chapel University where he is on staff.
Mike Lagana
I. B. S. Acts, Galatians, Ephesians, Genesis
Mike is a contractor on the island of Kauai and the father of seven kids. His passion for ministry began while in YWAM. He has taught Bible College classes at Calvary Chapel Kauai for the last four years. He is married to his wife Sarah
Pastor Bruce Baumgartner
Missions, Pastoral Epistles Class
Pastor Bruce is an assistant pastor at Calvary Chapel Kauai. He oversees the worship ministry, youth ministry and church office. He is a gifted teacher and has faithfully taught Missions and Pastoral Epistles since the inception of the College.

Chris King
Provost of Kauai Bible College, Book of Genesis
Chris King is a CCBC Murrieta graduate who helped build the KBC campus in 2007.
He holds a BA in both Graphic Design and Biblical Studies.
He taught through the book of Genesis and assisted in overseeing the ongoing administrative affairs of the college such as website design and staff instruction.
Bethany Murakami
Dean of Women
Bethany is originally from southern California and has attended Bible College at KBC.
She worked with the girls as the dean of women and she is an excellent counselor and minister.
She also is an amazing guitar player and worship leader!
Zane Bowman
College service, Book of Philippians
Originally from Big Bear, California. Zane has attended CCBC in Murrieta and Colorado and has interned at CCBC Colorado and KBC.
Zane was in charge of M-199 and grounds keeping and taught through the book of Philippians.
